Dr. Miller received his M.A. and Ph.D. in Ethnomusicology from the Music Department here at UW-Madison with a focus on the history of Korean and Japanese music, and also has a B.A. in Asian Studies from UW-Madison with a focus on the history of Japanese colonialism in Korea. Richard was the lecturer for the 222 course for five semesters, and has taught for the History Department and School of Music as well.
